Can you identify the omnibox in Google Chrome?

The image below shows you what and where to find the omnibox. You can type all sorts of instructions into the omnibox, not just web addresses. Examples include: "define serendipity" or "convert 1 British Pound to Hungarian Forints" or "what is 36 divided by 3?"

Do you know how to access incognito mode in Google Chrome?

  1. Click on the three horizontal dots in the top left hand corner of Chrome
  2. Select New Incognito Window.
  3. (Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+Shift+N)

Searching bookmarks

Searching for a bookmark is a useful function when you have many, many bookmarks. 

To search for a bookmark:

  • Open the Bookmark Manager (see video above or press CTRL+Shift+O)
  • At the very top of the page is a search bar. Type your search criteria into the box. 
  • If a matching bookmark is found, it will then be listed.
