What is Google Sites?
Think of Google Sites as an easy way to create a mini-website for a subject, topic, club or department. They can be created by students and staff and visibility of them is easy to control i.e. you could have a Google Site only visible to certain staff and/or students.
We generally do not use Google Sites at Sheffield Girls' as Firefly does the same sort of thing (here's an example of an exception). However, it's worth getting to know Google Sites not just because you need to know about it for the Google Certified Educator exam but also because, who knows, you might just want to exploit it with your students!
Can you create a new site *not* using a template?
Can you add a subpage to the Homepage (and insert a Google Doc onto that subpage)?
The following video shows you how to get started with Google Sites:
Can you change the layout of the Homepage to 2 columns (with text on one side and an image on the other)?
